The Values (part 1)
Here are 5 of the 10 values that are highlighted in the Our Family Values games:
We Are A Part Of GOD’S BIG STORY
God invites us into His Big Story of redemption, hope and grace. When we accept this invitation we discover a greater purpose that cannot be found in money, stuff or success. We praise God for what He has done, what we have and for inviting us to be a part of His story.
We Strive to KNOW GOD
God knows us and we can know Him. We actively pursue a deeper relationship with God. We read the Bible, pray and are in community with other believers. We serve God with our gifts, passions, abilities and experiences.
We Find Our IDENTITY IN CHRIST
We look to the Bible to discover who we are, and we find that we are chosen, adopted, loved, redeemed and given an inheritance. Finding our identity in Christ helps us stand firm against the counter identities the world offers.
We Belong To GOD’S FAMILY
God has adopted us into His family. It’s important that we are in community with God’s Family as we get to know Jesus, love others and make disciples together. We are on mission together.
We are SERVANTS
We ask the question, “What needs to be done?” As we serve others, God shapes us and helps us to see that life isn’t all about me. We are to be a living sacrifice for the glory of God.
